Course content
The discipline "Scientific Image of the World" is aimed at providing students with basic knowledge of the formation and development of the scientific picture of the world and, like other general theoretical disciplines, should perform the main general educational and developmental function, which is to form the student's scientific outlook and develop modern forms of theoretical thinking and the ability to analyse natural phenomena. The discipline is designed to acquaint students of the university's humanities faculties with the history of the emergence and development of science in society, the achievements of its individual branches. The discipline should contribute to the formation of a modern scientific outlook in students, without which it is difficult to imagine the civilisation of the XXI century.
