Learning outcomes
PLO 6. Use information and communicative technologies to solve complicated specialized tasks and professional issues. PLO 7. Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before starting this course, students should know the category-concept apparatus of theoretical linguistics (the main theoretical concepts of paradigmology: units of language/speech; grammatical meaning and grammatical form of a word, morphological paradigm, grammatical category, part of speech and be able to apply these concepts in the process of morphological text analysis) and computer linguistics (the technique of the method of modeling linguistic phenomena); the main directions of modern applied linguistics, the relationship between applied linguistics and theoretical, structural and mathematical linguistics - the foundation of modern applied linguistics.
Course content
The goal of the discipline is to acquaint students with the theoretical and practical foundations of automatic morphological analysis and to form a system of knowledge regarding the connection between theoretical foundations and the practical implementation of morphological grammatical meanings during computer processing of Ukrainian-language text. Its subject is the study of formal ways of expressing grammatical meaning - an indicator of various relationships in which a word enters with other words in a phrase, sentence, or text. The object is the structure of the word, forms of word change, and ways of expressing grammatical meanings.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, seminars, and laboratory classes, independent work. Types of work and forms of their control: Oral answer at the seminar class. Writing assignments in Google Classroom. Laboratory work on morphological annotation in the Corpus of the Ukrainian language. Creating a contribution to Wikipedia on a topic related to the subject of the course. Final control test.
Assessment methods and criteria
During the semester, evaluation is carried out in accordance with the types of work (Oral response in a seminar class, Written performance of tasks in a Google class, Laboratory work on morphological annotation in the Corpus of the Ukrainian language, Creation of a contribution to Wikipedia on a topic related to the subject of the course, Final test). The credit is given based on the results of the student's work throughout the entire semester and does not include additional assessment measures. Students who scored the minimum positive number of points - 60, receive - "Passed". Students who did not score the minimum positive number of points - 60, receive - "Failed".
