Р02. Knowledge to understand the basics of mathematics at a level sufficient to achieve other learning outcomes provided by this guideline and educational program. Р05. Knowledge to understand the relationship between structure and properties of substances. Р07. Skill to apply basic principles of quantum mechanics to describe the structure of atoms, molecules, and chemical bonds. Р08. To know principles and procedures of physical, chemical, physicochemical research methods, typical equipment, and instruments. Р13. Skill to analyze and evaluate data, to synthesize new ideas concerning chemistry and its applications. Р19. Skill to use your knowledge, understanding, competencies, and basic engineering skills to solve practical tasks and problems of nature.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Have basic knowledge of general chemistry. 2. Have basic knowledge of physical and chemical properties of organic substances within the course program "Organic Chemistry".
Course content
Modern methods of studying the structure of organic compounds of natural origin: NMR, UV, IR and fluorescence spectroscopy, Shpolsky spectroscopy, atomic force microscopy, methods of studying intermolecular interactions in solutions by these methods. Modern hardware, methods of experiment, solve problems of integrated application of these methods to establish the structure and authenticity of natural compounds.

Assessment methods and criteria
Semester control includes homework and tests. The evaluation is based on a 100-point scale. The maximum / minimum number of points that can be obtained by a student during the semester assessment is 60 points / 36 points. The final assessment is conducted in the form of an exam. The maximum / minimum number of points that can be obtained by a student in the exam is 40 points / 24 points.
