Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Possession of knowledge, abilities and skills provided by the standard of secondary education in the disciplines "History of Ukraine", "Ukrainian language and literature", "World history", "Foreign literature". 2. The ability to work independently with scientific and scientific-methodological cultural literature. That is, 1. Before starting to master this course, students must be familiar with the basics of periodization of the history of the development of civilization and culture, know basic cultural concepts and categories (at the level of a graduate of comprehensive educational institutions of the I-III degrees);
2. To be able to work with original sources, scientific and commentary literature, to apply modern information and communication technologies in education, to use information technologies to present the results of one's own studies, to have elementary skills of working in a team - an academic group.
Course content
Study of the educational discipline "Ukrainian and foreign culture", students acquire the competence to understand the context of the emergence of certain phenomena, phenomena, processes in the field of culture, orient themselves in the variability of the semantics of such ambiguous concepts as: "culture", "ethnos", "people", " nation", "national culture", etc., compare bills and normative initiatives that regulate the legislative sphere of the development of Ukrainian culture, master the basic principles and regularities of the development of foreign and Ukrainian culture. The discipline is important in the context of the formation of national self-identity and the understanding of the place and role of Ukrainians in the world cultural process. These basic cultural and philosophical concepts are necessary for the formation of sufficient skills and competencies by students to master further training courses when studying disciplines under the "Chemistry" educational program.

Assessment methods and criteria
Semester control includes work in practical classes, including oral examinations, tests and surveys on the topics of tests. Evaluation is carried out on a 100-point system. The maximum / minimum number of points that can be obtained by a student during the semester assessment is 100 points / 60 points.
