Learning outcomes
PLO 2. Work effectively with information: select the necessary information from various sources, critically analyse and interpret it, organise, classify and systematise. PLO 3. Organise the process of learning and self-education. PLO 7. Use information and communication technologies, in particular, to solve standard tasks of professional activity. PLO 8. Know the branches of philology and outline the range of their main problems. PLO 15. Prerequisites and co-requisites
To complete a bachelor's qualification work, the student must have successfully mastered the first foreign language (Spanish) during the first three courses, as well as the following disciplines: "Introduction to the Specialty", "History of the First Foreign Language", "Comparative Lexicology", "Comparative Grammar", "Terminology", "Stylistics", which cover the basic relevant concepts of translation studies and linguistics (in particular, methods, techniques of translation, types of correlations between fragments of the original and translation), lexical and grammatical semantics, stylistic potentiality of language units, and ways of obtaining knowledge from reference and non-specialized sources.
Course content
The purpose of the bachelor's qualification work is to identify a range of translation problems generated by the object of study on specific empirical material and to find generalized ways to solve them. The objectives of the qualification work are to prepare graduates to solve translation problems (methods, techniques, strategies, etc.) by inductive means on specific empirical material, to identify contradictions in scientific approaches to the problem and to solve them ad hoc, classifying material, identifying the essential features of the researched phenomenon through analysis (comparative, contrastive, semantic, contextual, stylistic, quantitative), obtaining new knowledge through synthesis, generalization, data interpretation, as well as other methods, and applying this knowledge to practical material.

Assessment methods and criteria
The process of writing the paper (6/10 points), the compliance of the paper with the requirements (27/45 points) and the public defense (27/45 points) are evaluated. The main criteria for evaluation are the ability to identify and solve a problem, apply the acquired knowledge on the chosen topic to solve specific translation problems, and the ability to present the results of the research, in particular: justify the relevance, novelty and practical significance of the work, explain its theoretical and methodological basis, as well as independence and originality of the work, fulfillment of tasks and achievement of the goal, objectivity and reliability of conclusions, compliance with the requirements of the scientific style, correctness of the list of references, skills of abstracting and defending the work in a foreign language, correctness of answers to questions, adherence to the principles of academic integrity and ethics.
