Learning outcomes
The purpose of the discipline: to give students an understanding of the current religious situation in Ukraine, knowledge of the historical background and reasons that led to multi-confessionalism in Ukraine, understanding of the risks of inter-church confrontation in society.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
The student should know: the main content of religious doctrines of national and world religions, stages of formation and characteristics of historical forms of religious traditions of the world. The student should be able to: collect and interpret information on the phenomena and phenomena of religious culture, religious processes; identify trends in the formation and transformation of religious views; analyze the cultural and historical features of the formation of religious traditions of the world.
Course content
- The concept of "religious situation". Subject and objectives of the course. - The beginning of the formation of the modern religious situation in Ukraine. - Return of religious freedoms in independent Ukraine. - The attitude of post-totalitarian society to religion and the church. - History of formation and characterization of the confessional space of modern Ukraine. - Confessional diversity in Ukraine at the beginning of the twenty-first century. - The place of national Orthodoxy in the confessional palette of Ukraine. - Changes in the legislation of Ukraine in accordance with the religious situation in the country.
