Basic knowledge of the course "Fundamentals of Linguistics".
Course content
The main purpose of the discipline is to teach students the basic types of speech activities: reading, writing, speaking, listening, the purpose of the discipline is also to teach students to use Chinese at the appropriate level of speech training in oral and written forms. In the first year, students must master the grammatical basis of 30-40 constructions, recognize grammatical phenomena, actively master the initial stock of common stylistically neutral vocabulary (about 1800 units), as well as some stock of phraseology and communicative clichés. The discipline "Chinese language: basic level" is one of the obligatory components of the complex discipline "Practical course of Chinese language and history of language" (Part 1), its logical continuation will be disciplines Chinese language: intermediate level (Part 2), Chinese language: advanced level (Part 3), Chinese language: functional level (Part 4).

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Training activities during the semester: practical classes conducted with the use of interactive teaching methods, and individual work. The main types of activities and, accordingly, the objects of semester control are: classroom activities, answers during practical classes, written tests, analytical reports, project work. Detailed planned educational activities and teaching methods are presented in the work program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the mastered material, including theoretical training, which is 40% of the total assessment, and practical training, which is 60% of the total assessment. The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student for classroom activities and for individual work. The minimum score for the semester is 36 points, while the maximum score equals 60. Final assessment: the exam, which is conducted in the form of written work, which is rated a maximum of 20 points, as well as the oral part in the form of answers to theoretical questions on grammar and oral presentation and a maximum score of 20 points. Criteria for semester assessment and assessment criteria for the exam are presented in the work program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
