            To know the basic theoretical approaches and content of modern scientific views on the study of civilizations in world scientific thought, general principles, stages of development and components of the theory of civilizations.
To understand the Yankee factors determine the preservation of the specifics of the modern world and the prospects of civilizational interaction or confrontation.
To understand the relationship between the main components of society, especially the state, culture and religion.
To know the basics of civilizational taxonomy, civilizational dynamics and civilizational comparative studies.
To be able to generalize and systematize the main provisions and conclusions of civilization on the role of civilizations in world politics, to have the skills to use them.
To understand the general, universal principles of civilization theory and civilization of comparative studies, determine the specifics of the structure of different societies of East and West.

            Module 1. Epistemology of civilizations
1. Theory of civilizations as a discipline. Methodology and categorical apparatus.
2. Civilizational paradigm of global development research.
3. Dynamics of civilizations. Formation of a multidimensional geocivilization model of the modern world.
4. The main stages of development of the theory of civilizations.
5. Civilization and the state. Civilization and religion. Civilization and culture. Civilization and ethnicity.
Module 2. Civilization taxonomy and civilizational comparative studies. Civilizational discourse in world politics.
