Prerequisites and co-requisites
Knowledge of Ukrainian and English language systems. Knowledge of the history and development trends of Ukrainian literature. Knowledge of the theoretical and methodological foundations of teaching languages and literatures; psychological and pedagogical foundations of teaching languages and literatures in a specialized high school. Knowledge of the requirements for the professional competence of a teacher-philologist of a specialized school. Proficiency in the spoken and written Ukrainian language. Proficiency in English at the B2 - B2+ level. The ability to build the process of learning languages and literatures; ability to use modern methods of teaching languages and literature.
Course content
The aim of the discipline: to form knowledge of the methodological principles of designing courses in philological subjects in an academic high school, technologies of modern language education and analysis of a literary work, methodology and categorical apparatus of linguistic didactics, which are necessary for the implementation of educational technologies in the process of studying philological disciplines in a high specialized school; to let master students know modern technologies of designing educational courses of various types, to give them experience in using instructions for step-by-step planning of an educational course in language and literature. Abstract. The discipline is based on the fundamental provisions of foreign and domestic linguistics, the communicative approach to learning, the responsible role of a teacher in the educational process; the discipline is developed to ensure the formation of competence in the construction of educational courses in philological disciplines at specialized high schools of academic type, readiness for planning, organization, implementation, reflection of the learning process, control and evaluation of educational achievements of students in educational courses of various types. The discipline contributes to the formation of the ability to construct an educational course in the philological discipline in accordance with the type of a course, the curriculum and the purpose of education while using different research methods.

Lectures, practical classes, independent work, simulation of professional situations, preparation and presentation of projects.
Assessment methods and criteria
The total score is formed by the points received by the student in the process of learning the material from the entire educational course. The overall grade for the semester consists of points received for classroom work (oral answers in practical classes, participation in discussions); for a scientific research task and a modular control project. All types of work for the semester have as a result: ● in the maximum dimension of 100 points, ● a minimum of 60 points. In case of absence from the practical lesson, the student must complete the assignment in writing. • Final assessment - credit.
