"As a result of studying the previous academic disciplines, students should have basic concepts about the general properties and regularities of the surrounding nature. Upon completion of the educational discipline, the student should: Knowledge: 1.1. Understand the main stages of the development of science and corresponding historical scientific worldviews. 1.2. Be familiar with the main directions of the modern scientific revolution. 1.3. Comprehend the philosophical implications of contemporary physical, cosmological, and biological concepts. Skills: 2.1. Differentiate between scientific, non-scientific, and extra-scientific worldviews. 2.2. Use modern scientific and philosophical terminology for the general description of the natural world. 2.3. Apply general theoretical and methodological principles in scientific activities."
Course content
The course "Scientific Conception of the World" comprises a single thematic section. This academic discipline aims to familiarize students from humanitarian faculties with the history of the emergence and development of science in society, along with the achievements of its various branches. The purpose of this discipline is to foster the development of a contemporary scientific worldview in students, an essential component without which it is challenging to envision the civilization of the 21st century.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Teaching methods encompass lectures and independent study. Educational activities include ongoing tests, presentations, and module assessments (tests).
Assessment methods and criteria
1) Ongoing tests (6 per module) – 42 points out of 72 per module (7 points out of 12 per test); 2) Presentation (1 per module) – 8 points out of 12 per module; 3) Module test (1 per module) – 10 points out of 16 per test. The final cumulative grade is the sum of scores for the course results (maximum 84 points) and the grade for the module test (maximum 16 points), making a total of 100 points.
