PLO 1. Communicate freely on professional issues with specialists and non-specialists in national and foreign languages orally and in writing, use them to organize effective intercultural communication. PLO 2. Effectively work with information: select the necessary information from various sources, in particular from specialized literature and electronic databases, critically analyze and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize it. PLO 6. Use information and communication technologies to solve complex specialized tasks and problems of professional activity. PLO 18. Have skills in managing complex actions or projects when solving complex problems in professional activities in the field of classical philology and bear responsibility for decision-making in unpredictable conditions.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before the beginning of educational and familiarization practice, students must have a certain level of command of Polish, English and Lithuanian languages, be able to work with educational and scientific information (literature of various genres, printed and electronic sources, etc.) in the field of philology (linguistics, literary studies, folkloristics), develop it, to make generalizations and conclusions, to have basic skills of scientific research search, synthesis and analysis of material.
Course content
Educational practice is an organic and mandatory part of the educational process of the specialty "Polish language and literature, English and Lithuanian languages". The process of becoming a specialist of a professional personality involves not only mastering knowledge of special disciplines, but also familiarization with the peculiarities of work in language centers and libraries. Educational and familiarization practice also involves research activities of students - gathering materials for writing the future qualification paper. The practice is designed to reveal the level of assimilation by students of modern methods of processing and publishing scientific documents and sources, checking source information when building the factual foundation of scientific research, the intensity of studying selected materials and the effectiveness of all stages of scientific work from choosing a topic, selecting the necessary material, finding the necessary information, and analyzing it , processing, systematization, generalization before publication of independent scientific research.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Compilation of an individual plan of educational practice and a schedule of consultations with the manager. Acquaintance with the funds of the Ballistics Center of the National Scientific Institute of Philology and the M. Maksymovich Scientific Library of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University. Compilation of bibliographic description. a) Collection, systematization, cataloging (alphabetical and thematic) of research material on specific topics of scientific research (bachelor's work) (indexes of journal articles; catalogs of new arrivals; bibliographic dictionaries and encyclopedias); b) Creation of individual bibliographies for specific scientific research depending on the chosen topic; collection of bibliography in connection with scientific programs, plans, topics developed by the Polonistics Department of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University. Preparation of a research plan (bachelor's thesis)
Assessment methods and criteria
The results of students' educational practice are evaluated on a 100-point scale. The final grade (100 points) is formed by the sum of the points obtained by the individual plan (60 points) and by the final control (40 points).
