Systematize the facts of the religious life of society, interpret religious events and phenomena based on an understanding of the specifics of the influence of religion on social processes. 12. Plan and carry out scientific research in the field of religious studies, choose effective research methods and tools, analyze the results, justify the conclusions.

Full-time form

Before starting this course, students should know the main stages and characteristics of philosophical and religious processes; basic religious theories and methods and techniques of religious studies, including dialectical method, interdisciplinary, etc.; basic religious concepts and categories; foundations of historical-philosophical theory. Be able to collect and interpret information about non-traditional phenomena and phenomena of religion, religious processes and events; apply the main terms, categories and classifications of religious studies in the process of analyzing the latest religious and socio-cultural phenomena and processes; identify modern trends in the coexistence of different religions and confessions in the conditions of globalization and intercultural dialogue, forecast the prospects of their mutual relations, taking into account the peculiarities of the course of religious processes in the conditions of globalization;

Discipline "Religious meanings in the cultural heritage of Ukrainian thinkers of the 20th century." acquaints students with the basics of religious studies in the field of religious meanings, the methodology and methods of their research. The subject, tasks, theoretical foundations, methodologies, main directions and problems are defined as modern and former problems of "non-traditional knowledge". The socio-cultural foundations of the emergence and peculiarities of the functioning of religious meanings are clarified. The principles of analysis of philosophical and religious problems are considered. The peculiarities of Western European and Eastern religious experience are explained. The peculiarities of the modification of the views of Ukrainian thinkers of the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries are successively considered. in the context of religious knowledge.

Lectures, seminars, self-study

The final number of points for the discipline (maximum 100 points) is defined as the sum of points for systematic work during the semester, taking into account the final test. The credit is given based on the results of the student's work throughout the entire semester and does not include additional assessment measures. For students who scored a total of less than the critical minimum of 60 points, in order to receive credit, it is necessary to complete the missed topics in writing and submit/send by e-mail to the teacher conducting the seminar classes. Thus, the final grade for the discipline (minimum 60, maximum 100 points) consists of the sum of the number of points for the semester work (minimum 48, maximum 80 points) and the final test (minimum 12, maximum 20 points).
