РLO2. Work effectively with information: select the necessary information from various sources, including professional literature and electronic databases, critically analyze and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize it. РLO3. Organize the process of learning and self-education. PLO4. Understand the fundamental principles of human existence and nature in the modern scientific picture of the world, as well as the fundamental principles of society in order to realize the rights and responsibilities of a person as a member of society, awareness of the rule of law, human and civil rights and freedoms in Ukraine. PLO5. To cooperate with colleagues, representatives of other cultures and religions, supporters of different political views, etc.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before taking this course, students should know the main stages and characteristics of the socio-political process;Be able to collect and interpret information on political phenomena and phenomena,socio-political processes and events;Possess basic skills of scientific research and management ofinformation management; critical attitude and forecasting of political, economiccultural events and phenomena.
Course content
The discipline forms knowledge of the peculiarities of modern Ukrainian society, politics and government in a comparative context, the specifics of sociological and political science knowledge about the problems and trends in the development of society, politics and government. The discipline "Socio-Political Studies" is part of the cycle of compulsory academic disciplines. The subject of the discipline is the functioning and development of modern society, politics and government, human interaction with social and political institutions, special characteristics of modern Ukrainian society in a comparative context.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The planned learning activities include lectures, seminars, consultations, and independent work of students. Teaching methods include answers in seminars, analytical assignment on a topic given by the lecturer, oral report, additions/participation in the discussion, independent work (essay, analytical assignment, project presentation), and tests.
Assessment methods and criteria
Grading is based on a module-rating system. Current control: oral answers at the seminar (up to 70 points), creative task - individual work (up to 10 points), final control work (up to 20 points). The form of final control is a test.
