Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) Fluency in the Ukrainian and Japanese languages; 2) knowledge of the theoretical foundations of academic discourse; 3) successful mastering of the disciplines "Japanese Language: Functional Level", "Communication Strategies and Translation", "Business Communication", etc.
Course content
The discipline DVS1.13 "Academic Japanese" is a part of the optional block 1 "Japanese Philology and Translation" for students studying in the specialty 035 "Philology (035.069 Philology (Eastern Languages and Literatures (Translation Inclusive), the first - Japanese)" ; it is taught in the eighth semester and consists of 3 credits, 90 hours, where 26 hours of lectures, 18 hours of seminars and 46 hours of self-study. The form of final control is a pass-fail examination. The course is designed to develop the student's skills and abilities necessary for successful implementation of scientific activities, understanding and producing texts of various genres of the Japanese academic discourse.
