Learning outcomes
Know the basic terminology of the discipline.
Know the vocabulary of the thematic field "diplomatic relations".
Know the grammatical constructions that function in legislative, diplomatic, administrative and clerical texts of the Japanese language. Know the legal terminology. Be able to use appropriate vocabulary, demonstrate the mastery of the necessary basis of the discipline. Be able to apply translation transformations in the translation of Japanese texts of official business style. Have the skills to professionally translate Japanese documents. Act socially responsibly and consciously, have the skills to work autonomously and in a team

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) successful mastering of the disciplines "Japanese language", "Introduction to Oriental Philology", "Translation Studies", "Linguistics", "Stylistics", "Translation Practice", etc .;
2) knowledge of the theoretical foundations of linguistics and translation studies;
3) mastery of the basics of translation practice of Japanese text, interpretation skills.
Course content
Work with practical material - oral and written translation of Japanese-language legal and diplomatic texts. Oral and written translation of texts on similar topics from Ukrainian into Japanese. Consideration of the following main issues: 1) features of the translation of numbers from / into Japanese; 2) lexical and grammatical difficulties of legal and diplomatic translation; 3) the most typical translation transformations in the translation of legal, diplomatic Japanese-language text; 4) features of translation of complex sentences from / into Japanese.
