            To know and understand the nature, sources and directions of evolution of international relations, international politics, foreign policy and diplomacy of states, the state of theoretical research of international relations and world politics.
To collect, process and analyze information on the state of international relations, world politics, foreign policy and diplomacy of states.
To identify, assess and anticipate political, diplomatic, security, social and other risks in the field of international relations and global development.
To assess and analyze international, foreign policy and diplomatic problems and situations, propose approaches to solving such problems.
To defend professionally the interests of Ukraine in various spheres of international relations.

            Know the theoretical foundations of civil service, the basics of formation and implementation of foreign policy.
Be able to analyze the dynamics of interstate diplomatic cooperation taking into account a combination of political and economic factors.

6. Stages of the foreign policy decision-making process.
