            Learning outcomes
        
        
            Know the basic patterns of origin and development of economic visions, their dependence on specific historical conditions; economic concepts of primary schools and areas of economic thought; achievements of outstanding economists; trends in the development of the world's leading countries in different historical periods as a prerequisite for the formation of economic science; be able to evaluate economic ideas and views in terms of their belonging to certain schools or areas; analyze economic situations from the standpoint of different scientific concepts; use the categorical-conceptual apparatus offered by different schools; to trace the relationship in the field of economic policy with theoretical concepts of the past and present; make analysis of problems and the state of economic development of individual countries, regions and the world as a whole; analysis and selection of alternative ways of economic development of the world at the present stage.

            Prerequisites and co-requisites
        
        
            1) knowledge of the theoretical foundations of economic theory, history and international relations;
2) the ability to study, evaluate, analyze and summarize the main directions of transformation of economics, taking into account global and national trends;
3) possession of basic skills of analytical research and analysis.

2. Mercantilism as the first school of economics
3. Formation of the classical school of economics
4. Development of the classical school of economics in the XIX-XX centuries
5. Formation and development of political economy
6. Economic theory of Marxism
7. Economic theories of Western European utopian socialists
8. Formation and development of institutional direction in economics
9. Neoclassical direction of economic theory
10. The essence and features of neo-Keynesianism and neoliberalism

            Semester assessment is formed by the points received by the student in the process of mastering the material of all content modules. Final evaluation.
