Learning outcomes
Describe the mechanisms of functioning of hormones and hormone-like substances and their regulation; describe and characterize the physiological functions of various organs, and the influence of hormones on the regulation of human body systems; to choose methods for studying the processes of humoral regulation of human metabolism - to acquire skills of independent study of the literature on humoral regulation of human metabolism; describe the role of endocrine glands in the regulation of visceral functions of the human body. use methods of statistical analysis of experimental results; to determine and calculate physiological indicators, to work independently with scientific, educational and reference literature on endocrinology, physiology and related biological disciplines.
Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
The course "Hormonal regulation of metabolism" requires successful mastering of medical disciplines "Human Anatomy", "Normal Physiology", and special disciplines "Pharmacology", "Immunology", "Endocrinology".
Course content
Within the course "Hormonal regulation of metabolism" ideas are formed about the basic patterns of metabolic processes that determine the state of health and adaptation of man at the molecular, cellular and organ levels of the organism as a whole. The acquired knowledge can be used by students not only in the educational process, but also during scientific activities and to solve various clinical problems. The subject of the discipline is the study of the action of hormones on the functioning of various organs and systems of the human body.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, laboratory classes, independent work.
Assessment methods and criteria
Ongoing control is carried out in each laboratory session in accordance with its specific objectives. All laboratory classes use standardized control of theoretical training and control of practical skills: practical tasks, including competency-oriented, problem solving, test control, oral examination, written answer to the teacher's question. Final assessment in the form of an exam.
