PR08. Know and understand basic terms, concepts, theories and laws in the field of biological sciences and on the border subject areas. PR09. To comply with the provisions of biological ethics, rules biological safety and biological protection in the process training and professional activities. PR11. Understand the structural organization of biological systems at the molecular level. PR15. To analyze the forms of relationships between micro- and macroorganisms with the definition of their main directions processes. PR16. Know the structure and functions of the immune system, cellular and molecular mechanisms of immune reactions, their regulation, genetic control; types of immunity and evaluation methods immune status of the body PR19. Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the courses "Molecular Biology", "Biochemistry", "Bioorganic Chemistry", "General Cytology", "Histology", and "Microbiology". 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of chemistry, physics and mathematics. 3. Ability to independently use theoretical knowledge of the above disciplines to solve practical problems, work with scientific electronic databases, scientific literature, the ability to system analysis.
Course content
The discipline "Methods of Molecular Biology" is part of the educational program of professional training of specialists at the educational level "Bachelor". The course is devoted to the study of the principles of modern methods of molecular biological research and the peculiarities of their application in the analysis of biological macromolecules and interactions between them. In the course of studying the discipline the possibilities and limitations of using different methods of molecular biology to achieve a specific scientific and practical task, the principles of choosing the most appropriate method, based on the purpose of the study. The course outlines a range of molecular biological research methods that can be used in conducting experiments in related sciences and in interdisciplinary research.
