Course content
The course covers the study of both general patterns of heredity and variability, and their features in different groups of organisms. Basic principles are considered inheritance, features of inheritance of sex-linked traits and quantitative traits, mechanisms of hereditary and non-hereditary variability. Issues of genetics are covered human and medical genetics, genetics of individual development, population genetics. During the study of the discipline demonstrates the practical application and importance of certain methods of genetics, including medicine and biotechnology.
