Prerequisites and co-requisites
- successful mastering of courses: Lexicology of the Ukrainian language; Phraseology of Ukrainian languages; Functional and communicative aspects of the Czech language; Folklore of the south and east Slavs; - knowledge of the theoretical foundations of general linguistics, system structure lexical structure of Slavic languages; - mastery of the method of semantic analysis; basic search skills, accumulation, analysis and synthesis of information; - ability to analyze the vocabulary of the second Slavic (Czech) language from the point of view semantics of the lexical unit, sources of its origin, norms of functioning.
Course content
The purpose of the course is to acquaint students with the phraseology of the second Slavic (Czech) language, features of its system and structure in different types and genres of oral and written speech; to form the ability to be fluent at the appropriate professional level linguistic and figurative means of the Czech language, use them in communicative, professional translation activities in accordance with generally accepted rules and regulations functioning of a foreign language. The subject is the theoretical foundations and communicative capabilities of the second phraseology Slavic (Czech) language. The discipline is aimed at mastering the universal and distinctive features of the linguistic picture of the world of the Czech ethnos by means of phraseology.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures and practical classes, independent work.
Assessment methods and criteria
During the semester, assessment is carried out according to the types of work and forms control: 1. Oral answer, additions, participation in discussions at lectures and seminars, blitz- surveys, tests - 25/45 points.2. Presentation - 11/15 points. (10 points for training + 5 points for defense). The general assessment for the semester consists of points obtained for the classroom work (which synthesizes and independent work on the development of theoretical material for preparation for classroom: oral answers, additions, blitz-surveys, tests, defense presentations) and for independent work (presentation preparation). The test is set for the results of the student's work throughout the semester and does not provide additional evaluation measures. Students who scored 60 points, the minimum positive number of points, receive "credited".
