Learning outcomes
Acquaintance of students with the basic characteristics of discrete passive and active radio electronic components, mathematical abstractions used in the modeling of electric circuits with applied software packages, assimilation of approaches to the selection of discrete components for solving applied problems, obtaining skills for working with technical documentation.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
In order to successfully master this discipline, it is necessary to study the compulsory disciplines "Higher Mathematics", "General Physics", "Materials of Modern Electronics", "Fundamentals of the Theory of Electric Circuits" and "English".
Course content
Discrete passive components. Electronic components based on p-n junction. Bipolar transistor amplifier. Field effect transistors. Electronic key on the field transistor. Bipolar transistors with an isolated gate. Manufacturing technologies of integrated microcircuits.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures - 32 hrs, practical lessons - 14 hrs, laboratory work - 14 hrs, independent work - 60 hrs, total - 120 hrs.
Assessment methods and criteria
Semester assessment: modular test (up to 20 points), report (up to 20 points), laboratory work (up to 20 points) - up to 60 points in total. Final evaluation in the form of credit - up to 40 points.
