Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the features of periodization and development of the Croatian literary process; evolution of trends, genres and styles; iconic works and personalities of the Croatian literary cultural life from the beginning of writing to the 80's of the twentieth century. 2. Be able to relate theoretical knowledge to specific phenomena of fiction and historical and literary facts; use modern methodology to analyze how individual work and the literary process as a whole; analyze read in the original and translation of works of art taking into account the development of aesthetic trends of the day; evaluate phenomena of Croatian and world literature and culture in their inseparable unity. 3. Have basic skills: research and management information; critical attitude to the analyzed phenomena.
Course content
The discipline belongs to the research component of the educational and scientific program. Its purpose is to promote the formation of a system of knowledge about the key problems of literary life Croatia in the context of the socio-spiritual situation in Europe at the turn of the XX - XXI centuries. The essence and character of artistic searches of the Croatian writers, the basic are considered vectors of interaction of Croatian literature with other European literatures. Study discipline contributes to the comprehension of universal and distinctive features of Croatian literature, forms the skills of analysis of historical and literary material in the projection on modern cultural situation in Croatia. The concept of teaching is culturological, poetic and comparative approaches. The discipline consists of 2 content modules and provides 1 module control work

Assessment methods and criteria
During the semester lectures and individual consultations are held, checked written works, the level of assimilation of the material taken out on independent is estimated processing. Planned types of work and forms of control: scientific abstracts works (max. 5b.), presentation (max. 6b.), abstract / literary-critical essay / written analytical work (max. 10b.), modular control work (max. 15b.), additions, participation in the discussion (max. 4b.). The test is set based on the results of the student's work throughout the semester and does not provide for additional assessment activities. Students who scored a minimum positive number of points (60 points), receive "credited".
