Learning outcomes
PRN2. To work effectively with Slavonic information: to select
necessary information from various sources, including professional literature and
electronic databases, critically analyze and interpret it, organize,
to classify and systematize. PRN6.Use information and
communication technologies to solve complex specialized problems and
problems of professional activity in the field of Slavic studies. PRN16. To know and understand
basic concepts, theories and concepts of Serbian linguistics and
literary studies, be able to apply them in professional activities.
PRN19. Have the skills to participate in scientific and or applied research in
branch of philology. PRN12. Analyze Serbian and English language units,
determine their interaction and characterize the linguistic phenomena and processes that involve them

Prerequisites: mastering the subjects "Introduction to Linguistics", "Introduction to Slavic"

Requirements:
1. Know the Serbian vocabulary of the main thematic groups in the field of household and
public communication; basic provisions of lexicology and lexicography
Ukrainian language; basic rules of grammar, linguistic terminology,
specific features of the Serbian language in comparison with Ukrainian;
2. Be able to relate theoretical knowledge to specific phenomena of Serbian
languages; translate texts on linguistic and social issues; compose oral
and written communications; analyze language phenomena; operate general
linguistic terminology.
3. Possess general factual knowledge of a humanitarian nature;
in Serbian at the level of advanced user B2; necessary
skills in all types of speech and two-way translation;
methods of information retrieval and processing
Course content
The purpose of the discipline: to form in Slavic students the idea of,
paradigmatic and syntagmatic connections of Serbian vocabulary in comparison with Ukrainian and a generalized picture of lexicography development in
in the context of the development of the literary situation, theoretical principles, the main stages of compiling dictionaries, methods and ways of presenting information,
to get acquainted with the most important philological dictionaries and modern lexicographic bases of the Serbian language for their further use in professional activity. ND - part of the Complex "Modern Serbian language",

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures and practical classes, guidance of independent work and control
for its implementation, individual consultations, credit.
Assessment methods and criteria
After the lectures, practical classes are held on the relevant topics on which
evaluation of planned types of works and forms of control is carried out: oral
report (max. 5), abstract / essay (max. 10), supplement, participation in the discussion (max.
3), presentation (max. 6), modular test (max. 15). During semester written works are checked, individual are carried out сonsultation, the level of assimilation of the material submitted on self-study. The final grade is based on the results student work during the semester and oral answer to the exam. Minimally
positive number of points to receive "credited" - 60 points.
