Learning outcomes
To study economic phenomena and processes in the international sphere on the basis of understanding of categories, laws; highlighting and generalizing trends, patterns of functioning and development of the world economy, taking into account causal and spatio-temporal relationships. To defend the national interests of Ukraine, taking into account the security component of international economic relations To have skills in business protocol and business etiquette in international economic relations, taking into account the peculiarities of intercultural communication at the professional and social levels, both in state and in foreign languages.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
- To have a proper level of knowledge of the school course of Ukrainian history, to know the main historical events and their causal relationships. - To be able to think abstractly, analyze and synthesize, generate new ideas, identify and solve problems of varying complexity. - To be able to search, process and analyze information from various sources combined with the skills to use modern information and communication technologies.
Course content
Module 1. Ukrainian diplomacy in the Middle Ages and modern times 1. Origins, emergence and development of national traditions of statehood and diplomacy 2. The struggle for the Cossacks-Hetmans’ statehood and its diplomatic component 3. Diplomatic support of national liberation struggle in Ukraine in 1917-1921. Module 2. Ukraine on its way to modern international personality 4. The Ukrainian issue during the Second World War and the Cold War 5. The main areas and priorities of foreign policy and diplomacy of modern Ukraine

Assessment methods and criteria
1. Oral answers, comments, participation in discussion, presentation – up to 42 points. 2. Completion of an individual work – up to 8 points. 3.Module control work – up to 10 points. 4. Written exam – up to 40 points.
