Learning outcomes
PLO 1. To evaluate personal educational and research-professional activities, create and implement an effective strategy of self-development and professional self-improvement. PLO 2. To have deep knowledge of the official (Ukrainian) and foreign languages for the written and oral communication purposes, professional and scientific communication in particular; to present research results in the official (Ukrainian) and foreign languages. PLO 11. To carry out the scientific analysis of linguistic, speech and literary material, interpret and structure it according to the relevant methodological principles, generalise information on the basis of independently processed data. PLO 14. To create, analyse and edit texts of different styles and genres. PLO 18. To present the results of research to the scientific community in scientific publications or speeches at conferences, round tables, seminars, etc.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
2.1. To know the scientific basis of the classification of functional styles, the main functions of languages, stylistic functions of language means in public communication, the concept of genre in linguistics. 2.2. To be able to work analytically with scientific literature, to perform linguostylistic analysis of texts. 2.3. To have basic writing skills; knowledge of strategies and tactics for creating modern texts of oral and written communication according to needs and tasks.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to familiarize master's students with a complex of current theoretical issues on the formation, the development and the functioning of scientific communication in modern conditions of the development of society, as well as to form practical skills and abilities of applying theoretical knowledge in practice. The training course "Intellectual evolution of the Ukrainian literary language" forms students' knowledge of modern scientific communication in the Ukrainian literary language, its specific functioning in the latest conditions of social development, providing future scientists with proper a linguistic instrumentarium for further independent scientific creativity. The resource, system and functional characteristics of different genre texts of scientific communication, principles and methods of linguistic work with different genre scientific texts are considered in detail.

Assessment methods and criteria
During the semester, evaluation is carried out in accordance with the types of work and form of control described in paragraph 7.1. The test is based on the results of the student's work throughout the semester and does not include additional measures. Students who score the minimum positive number of points - 60, receive - "enrolled." Students who do not score the minimum positive number of points - 60, receive - "not enrolled". Students who have scored a total of less than 60 points for the semester must prepare material on topics for which debt has arisen, in the form of writing scientific reports, creative works or, if necessary, write a test.
