Prerequisites and co-requisites
To know the history of the emergence and development of basic psychodiagnostic concepts, the subject and structure of psychodiagnostics, its place in the system of psychological disciplines, features of psychodiagnostic methods and various diagnostic approaches, the main stages of the psychodiagnostic process, the main psychometric characteristics of tests (validity, reliability), stages of test design, adaptation and standardization. To be able to apply and interpret the most common personality questionnaires, projective techniques and intelligence tests, to outline a research plan aimed at testing the effectiveness of psychodiagnostic methods, to apply modern statistical methods for processing the results of psychodiagnostic research. To have skills of scientific research, search, processing and analysis of information, use of information and communication technologies and basic competencies of conducting psychodiagnostic examination, applying basic psychodiagnostic approaches
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to acquire knowledge of the subject, method, features of the historical development of psychodiagnostics, its current range of research, place in the system of related disciplines; study of psychometric principles of psychodiagnostics, stages of test design and adaptation, testing their effectiveness; acquisition of knowledge on the diagnosis of intelligence and personality traits within the framework of basic diagnostic approaches. The course reveals the main psychodiagnostic theories, principles and tools for assessing individual psychological differences, and also substantiates the feasibility of using diagnostic methods and techniques depending on the current state of the subject.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Assessment methods and criteria
All types of work are assessed throughout the semester. Additions and active participation in lectures and seminars, as well as the presentation of a completed research project are evaluated. The maximum number of points for work during the semester is 60. The final assessment is conducted in the form of an exam. The maximum number of points that can be obtained by a student is 40 points on a 100-point scale. The form of examination is written. Types of tasks - open questions, creative tasks; the answer to open question 1 - 33%; the answer to open question 2 - 33%, creative task - 34% of the total mark. The minimum threshold level of the exam grade at which the exam is considered passed cannot be less than 24 points. Conditions for admission to the exam. A student is not admitted to the exam if he or she has scored less than 36 points during the semester. They are admitted to the exam if they have completed 50% of the work envisaged in the syllabus
