Prerequisites and co-requisites
Applicants should know: 1) the terminology of the basic concepts of modern Turkic science; 2) the systematic organization of the modern Turkish language (phonetic structure, morphology, syntax, vocabulary). 3) principles and methodology of translation from Turkish. Applicants must be able to: 1) use special philological terminology in the field of Turkology in Ukrainian and Turkish; 2) independently analyze linguistic phenomena and determine their nature and specifics of functioning 3) make translation, stylistic, literary analysis of various texts in Turkish.
Course content
The comprehensive professional test is conducted to identify the professional knowledge, skills and abilities of graduates who have reached the appropriate professional level necessary for further professional activities as philologists and translators of the Turkish language and literature during their studies. The content of the Program consists of problems and issues that are covered in the courses included in different cycles of bachelor's training: Multisemester discipline "Oriental Language: Basic Level", "Oriental Language: Intermediate Level", "Oriental Language: Advanced Level", "Oriental Language: Functional Level", "Lexicology of the First Oriental Language", "Theoretical Grammar of the First Oriental Language", "Fundamentals of Translation Theory (by language area)", Comprehensive discipline "History of Oriental Literature": "Oral and Ancient Oriental Literature", "Medieval Oriental Literature"; "History of the First Oriental Language", "Translation Practice (Turkish)", "Introduction to Oriental Philology".

Assessment methods and criteria
The exam is held in oral and written form, and the grade is recorded for each type of task by the commission. The exam includes theoretical tasks, as well as tasks on the ability to practically apply the acquired knowledge of the specialty, which in terms of content and volume include the educational material for training specialists at the bachelor's level. The exam paper offers the graduate a task in language and literature, namely: the theoretical aspect of the modern Turkish language; the history of Turkish literature; translation of a text from Ukrainian into Turkish. There is also a conversation topic on the test paper. Each question is worth 25 points. The maximum number of points a graduate can score is 100.
