Establish a definitive clinical diagnosis bymaking an informed decisionand logical analysis ofthe received subjective and objective data of clinical,additional examination, conducting differentialdiagnostics, in accordance with the relevant ethicaland legal norms, under the supervision of the doctorsupervisorin the conditions of the medical institution(list 2). Prerequisites and co-requisites
1.Successful mastering of the disciplinesthat cover basic questionsrelated to such fields of medical and biological disciplines as genetics and molecular biology. 2.Knowledge of the theoretical basics of genetics, biochemistry, embryology,molecular biology. 3.Ability to independently apply knowledge of chemistry, general biologyand othereducational disciplines, use the computer, work with scientific literature.
Course content
The course focuses on current methods and approaches used in Ukraine and the world to diagnose human hereditary diseases. The discipline includes the study of the basic patterns of inheritance and variability of traits in a person; molecular geneticmechanisms of human hereditary diseasesdevelopment; principles of modern methods of genetic diagnostics, their advantages and limitations, medical protocols for the use of one or another method, etc.
