Learning outcomes
1.1. To know the peculiarities of the education system in Ukraine and abroad, the history of Kyiv University and the organization of the historical branch. 1.2. Know the basic documents of Kyiv University 1.3. To know the peculiarities of the profession of a historian 2.1. Be able to search for source information, use the scientific and reference apparatus of archives and libraries, documentary electronic resources and information and search databases 2.2. Be able to make presentations and demonstrate mastery of professional terminology and a foreign language 2.3. To be able to prepare scientific reports, presentations, present the results of independent and individual creative work, justify their conclusions. 2.4. To be able to independently choose the methods and methods of analysis of the researched topic, to develop recommendations that can be used to improve the mastery of the issues of the discipline.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Students should know the main stages of the birth and development of Ukrainian statehood; to be informed about Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University, about Ukrainian luminaries of historical science, the most popular textbooks and monographs on history and other humanitarian disciplines. Be able to find, collect and process the necessary information, in particular in a foreign language; communicate online on various platforms, work with domestic and foreign sources. Possess elementary skills of perception of the necessary information and its reasonable use; the ability to write texts on historical topics
Course content
The program consists of two modules: content module 1. University studies: past and present; content module 2. University education of world civilization centers. The peculiarities of the university's development in different historical periods are studied in chronological order. The history of the organization of the educational process, reforms introduced in education at different times, and the legal status of the university are considered. The subject of the academic discipline includes issues of formation and development of scientific schools of Kyiv University, peculiarities of training of scientific personnel, organization of international cooperation.

Assessment methods and criteria
The control of the student's knowledge is carried out according to the modular rating system. The total number of student points is formed by the semester points received from all topics of two content modules (points received for modular control papers (in the form of tests); points received for completing individual tasks; points received for work in seminar classes, as well as points which are received for the final control work. The results of students' educational activities are evaluated on a 100-point scale. The criteria for evaluating a student's answer are: • complete disclosure of the issue • the logic of presentation • use of basic and additional literature • analytical reasoning, the ability to draw conclusions
