PLO 7. Understand the main problems of philology and approaches to their solution using appropriate methods and innovative approaches. PLO 8. To know and understand the language system, the general properties of literature as an art of words, the history of languages and literature being studied, and to be able to apply this knowledge in professional activities. PLO 13. Analyze and interpret works of Ukrainian and foreign fiction and oral folk art, determine their specificity and place in the literary process. PLO 15. To carry out linguistic, literary and special philological analysis of texts of various styles and genres. PLO 16. To know and understand the basic concepts, theories and concepts of folkloristics, linguistics, and literary studies, to be able to apply them in professional activities.

Full-time form

The student should know: – basic phenomena of the Ukrainian literary process of the Middle Ages and Baroque; - artistic texts in scientific reading, analytical comprehension and assimilation; - critical reception of the writing of this period in diachronic and synchronic aspects. have: - the necessary terminological apparatus; – modern methodology of analysis of artistic texts; be able: to analyze the artistic texts of the Middle Ages and Baroque period with the involvement of various research methods and modern scientific terminology; - work with source and critical material; - express your thoughts logically and consistently at seminar classes and exams; - competently refer to authoritative studies; - justify and justify one's own opinion.

The goal of the discipline is to present a holistic view of Ukrainian medieval and baroque literature as an integral part of European culture, to form an understanding of the writings of these eras as having a determining spiritual and state significance; to study the aesthetic and ideological originality of ancient Ukrainian literature, to determine its place in the space of Slavic and Western European literatures. The task is for students to master the basic phenomena of Ukrainian literature of the Middle Ages and Baroque era; reading, assimilation and analytical understanding of artistic texts, familiarization with the critical reception of writing of the given period.

Methods: lecture, independent work. Activities: seminar class, control work.

The form of final control is credit. The credit is given based on the results of the student's work throughout the entire semester and does not include additional assessment measures. Students who scored the minimum positive number of points - 60, receive "enrolled". According to the types of works, the student can score the following number of points: answer at the seminar class: minimum 2 points, maximum - 6 points; control work - minimum 23 points, maximum - 58 points.
