Learning outcomes
Formation of a complete system of knowledge about the course of cultural processes on the territory of modern Ukraine during the Eneolithic - Bronze Age. As a result of studying the course, students must learn the archaeological periodization of the specified era and the key components of material culture inherent in its certain stages; to be able to determine the main factors that influenced the appearance of the material culture of certain cultural and chronological stages of the age of paleometals; to analyze the sources and methods of researching monuments of the Eneolithic - Bronze Age at different stages of the history of research of these antiquities; to acquire skills in working with scientific literature related to the problem area of the course.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Before starting this course, students should know the basic schemes of archaeological periodization, as well as cultural-chronological sequences for the territory of modern Ukraine and adjacent territories.
2. To be able to collect and interpret information about the main processes and events of world history and the history of Ukraine; apply the basic terminology and categorical apparatus of modern archaeological and historical research.
3. To have elementary skills of scientific research and knowledge; critical attitude to historical events and phenomena; understanding the specifics of the reflection of historical information in archaeological sources.
Course content
The content of the course is divided into 2 content modules. Each content module includes lectures, seminars, independent work of students, which are completed by rating control of the level of assimilation of knowledge of the program material of the corresponding part of the course. Content module 1 (СМ1) includes topics 1-5, content module 2 (СМ2) includes topics 6-9.

Assessment methods and criteria
The control of the student's knowledge is carried out according to the modular rating system. The total number of student points is formed by the semester points received from all topics of two content modules (points received for modular control papers (in the form of tests); points received for completing individual tasks; points received for work in seminar classes, as well as points which are received for the final control work.
The results of students' educational activities are evaluated on a 100-point scale.
The criteria for evaluating a student's answer are:
• complete disclosure of the issue
• the logic of presentation
• use of basic and additional literature
• analytical reasoning, the ability to draw conclusions
