Prerequisites and co-requisites
Prerequisites for mastering or choosing an academic discipline (if available):
Before starting the academic discipline, students have:
to know the main directions of cultural studies, current aspects of national studies of country studies; criteria of periodization of national history, basics of folkloristics
- Be able to creatively apply the knowledge and methods of activity learned during the study of academic disciplines; have initial experience in conducting scientific and methodical work, research and experimental forms of cultural activity; plan and evaluate own work.
Possess elementary skills: scientific research and information management, selection and interpretation of information regarding the phenomena of Serbian country studies; abstract and analytical processing of Ukrainian-language and foreign-language professional sources; interaction with fellow applicants in search and research work.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to give Serbian students generalized, systematized knowledge of the complex country history panorama of Serbia, to deepen students' knowledge with a generalized overview of the history of the Serbian state in diachrony and synchrony, which is presented in the system of the main modern country history facts and the history of national folklore.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures and seminars, independent work, exam
Assessment methods and criteria
Throughout the semester, after lectures on relevant topics, seminar classes are held, at which evaluations are carried out in accordance with the planned types of work. Evaluation of the semester work: 1. Oral response, additions, participation in discussions at lectures and seminars, blitz surveys, tests: 25/45 points. 2. Presentation: 11/15 points. (10 points for preparation + 5 points for defense). Students submit and defend their presentations later in the last lecture week.
Final evaluation: Written exam: 24/40 points.
The semester final grade is formed by the points obtained by the student in the process of performing the specified types and forms of education and obtained in the exam. The maximum distribution is carried out according to the following algorithm: 60 points (60%) - semester control and 40 points (40%) - exam.
