Learning outcomes
PLO 2. Effectively work with information: select the necessary information from various sources, in particular from professional literature and electronic databases, critically analyze and interpret it, arrange, classify and systematize it. PLO 15. To carry out linguistic, literary and special philological analysis of texts of various styles and genres. PLO 22. To carry out a complex interdisciplinary analysis of a folklore product.
PLO 23. To characterize the semantics and pragmatics of rituals and ceremonial complexes. PLO 25.1 Apply knowledge of the mechanisms of the appearance and development of phenomena of the traditional cultural heritage of the Ukrainian people in practical activities.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before starting the study of this discipline, students should know the historical development of the science of folklore, the main schools, trends and approaches in folkloristics, the formation and development of ethnocultural studies as an interdisciplinary field of knowledge.
To be able to work with scientific sources, to generalize theoretical knowledge devoted to the study of questions from the course.

Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to study the peculiarities of applied folklore by students, in particular its examination, which involves the identification and consideration of verbal, paraverbal and action factors of its emergence and functioning as a syncretic genre in the space of folkloristics.
Abstract. The educational discipline "Applied Folklore Expertise" provides an analysis of the history, theory, and methodology of applied folklore research, provides a primary understanding of the genre structure of Ukrainian applied folklore, as well as its specifics. The importance of a new reading of applied folklore and its examination: the expediency of its complex semiological research; the need to study applied folklore as material for cultural studies, anthropology, folklore theory, etc.; the need to use many methods of modern folkloristics and on the material of Ukrainian applied folklore.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course includes the following forms of education: lectures, seminars, independent work. Throughout the semester, after the lectures on the relevant topics, seminar classes are held, which are evaluated according to the types of work (oral answer, supplement, report at a scientific seminar, blitz survey, participation in discussions at lectures and seminar classes, intermediate control test, exam) . The seminar is held no later than the last lecture week, at which students present an independently prepared scientific report on one of the topical problems of modern folkloristics.
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the learned material, assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge) - 40% of the total assessment, and assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills, communication, autonomy and responsibility - 60% of the overall assessment .
The overall grade for the semester consists of points obtained for classroom work (which synthesizes and independent work on processing theoretical material for classroom preparation: oral answers, additions, blitz surveys, intermediate control tests, presentation of a scientific report) and for independent work (preparation reports). All types of work for the semester have a total of 36/60 points. The discipline ends with a written exam 24/40 p.
