Learning outcomes
ΡLO14. To use the New Greek and English languages in oral and written form, in different genre-style varieties and registers of communication (formal, informal, neutral), to solve communicative problems in everyday, social, educational, professional, scientific spheres of life. PLO17. To collect, analyze, systematize and interpret the facts of language and speech and use them to solve complex problems in specialized areas of professional activity and/or study. PLO18. To have the skills to manage complex actions or projects in solving complex problems in professional activities in the field of the chosen philological specialization and to be responsible for making decisions in unpredictable conditions. PLO 20.2. To carry out intercultural communication in oral and written form. PLO 22.2. Translate specialized texts from and into New Greek and English.

Course content
The purpose of the disciplineis to write and defend a bachelor'sthesistoverifythatthegraduate'sleveloftrainingmeetstherequirementsoftheeducationalandqualificationcharacteristicsofthespecialty, hisorherabilitytoapplyscientificanalysistosolveprofessionalproblemsofanappliednature. Thecourseconsistsoftwocontentparts. Thefirst, research, consistsofstudentschoosing a topic, discussingthesubjectofresearchandproblemstatement, drawingup a researchplan, searchingforandprocessingscientificliteratureandmaterialthataddressescertainhypothesesinordertorefuteorconfirmthem. Themainpartofthecourseiswriting a scientifictext, whenstudentshavetodemonstratetheirmasteryofthescientificstyleoftheUkrainianlanguageandtheabilitytoprovetheirownthesesbasedontheprinciplesofacademicintegrity. Thesecondandfinalparttestsstudents' readinesstoparticipateinpublicscientificeventsandtheirabilitytopresenttheresultsoftheirwork.

The grade for writing a bachelor's the sisconsistsofthreecomponents: 1) thesupervisor'sassessment, who fillsoutthesupervisor'sfeedbackforminaccordancewiththeevaluationcriteria (upto 10 pointsmax.) 2) thereviewer'sassessment, whofillsoutthereviewforminaccordancewiththeevaluationcriteria (upto 45 pointsmax. )3) thegradeforthedefenseofthequalificationwork (upto 45 pointsmax.), whichisgivenbythecertificationcommissionandenteredintothefinalevaluationsheet, whichalsocontainsthetotalgradeasanarithmeticwholeofthethreecomponents (100 pointsmax.; 60 pointsmin.).
