Learning outcomes
The aim of teaching the academic discipline "Phthisiology" is to provide students with basic knowledge of phthisiology, mastering modern methods of diagnosis, differential diagnosis, treatment, prevention of tuberculosis, to form the ability to use knowledge, skills, and abilities to solve various problems of professional activity of a doctor in the field of health care

1. Successful mastering of fundamental academic disciplines. 2. Ability to independently apply knowledge of medical biology, medical and biological physics, medical informatics, medical chemistry, biological and bioorganic chemistry, human anatomy, histology, cytology and embryology, physiology, microbiology, virology and immunology, life safety; basics of bioethics and biosafety, pathomorphology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, propaedeutics of internal medicine, etc. disciplines for solving specific scientific and practical problems; work with scientific and scientific-methodical literature. 3. Possession of basic skills of systems analysis
Course content
The academic discipline "Phthisiology" is a mandatory component of the educational and vocational training program for masters of medicine. Students study epidemiology, methods of timely detection and diagnosis, clinical and diagnostic signs of tuberculosis, basic principles of treatment of patients with tuberculosis, prevention and infectious control measures; improve the skills of questioning and objective examination of the patient, interpret the data of laboratory and instrumental studies, formulation of a clinical diagnosis, prescribe treatment, provide emergency medical care
