Learning outcomes
The goals of teaching of "Obstetrics and Gynecology" are: acquisition of knowledge on the physiological and pathological obstetrics, conservative and operative gynecology, learning of general principles of pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period, the ability to analyze obstetric situation and surgical risks in gynecological patients, using primary and secondary methods studies that demonstrate skills by educational-professional program

Course content
The main objectives of the discipline "Obstetrics and Gynecology":
• Interpret clinical anatomy of the female genitals and physiology of the reproductive system.
• Make a preliminary diagnosis of basic gynecological diseases, plan examination and patient management.
• To determine the etiologic and pathogenetic factors of major diseases of the female reproductive system.
• Identify factors that influence family planning and to develop measures aimed at rational family planning.
• Perform the necessary medical manipulations.
• Plan and provide first aid in emergency conditions in gynecology

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The types of educational activities of students according to the curriculum are: a) lectures; b) practical classes; c)independent work of students
Assessment methods and criteria
The maximum number of points that a student can collect for current educational activity per semester is 100 points.
Independent work of students is evaluated during the current control of topics on the appropriate lesson. Mastering of topics which dart out only on independent work is
controlled at the final control.
Final control includes semester control and certification of the student. Semester control is carried out in the forms of set-off (4.6) course and exam for the 5th year in the amount of material specified in the work program of the course and within the deadline set, working curriculum, student individual curriculum.
Final control – test, is to assess the mastering of educational material on the subject "Obstetrics and Gynecology" solely on the results of the performance of all types of educational work, provided the curriculum
