            Learning outcomes
        
        
            The aims are formed on the basis of professional preparation of the physician according to the block of its content module which is the ground of studying discipline content. Description of the aims is made through the skills in a form of target tasks (actions). Concrete aims in the form of concrete skills (actions) and target tasks providing achievement of final aim of discipline study are made on the basis of module’s or final module control’s final aims.
Thus, the aim of discipline study is a system forming element, playing decisive role in organization and fulfillment of the whole process of study. The content of the essential
studying discipline “Pediatrics” corresponds to the studying process logic and professional and practical preparation system.

            Prerequisites and co-requisites
        
        
            – Acquiring basic theoretical knowledge of the most common non-communicable and infectious diseases of childhood, dispensary supervision of healthy and sick children in an outpatient setting.
– Mastering basic practical skills and skills in diagnosis, differential diagnosis, treatment of complicated and uncomplicated forms of the most common non-communicable and infectious diseases of childhood;
– Mastering the basic practical skills and skills to provide first aid in emergency situations in the most common non-communicable and infectious diseases of childhood.
– Keeping medical records.
– Formation in students of moral and ethical and deontological qualities in professional communication with a sick child and persons providing care for a child
        
    
            Course content
        
        
            – Acquisition of basic theoretical knowledge on etiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, laboratory data and instrumental research methods, treatment, prevention and prognosis of the most common infectious and non-infectious diseases in children different age categories.
– Mastering basic practical skills and abilities in diagnostics, differential diagnosis, treatment and emergency care for the most common childhood illnesses newborn period, children with endocrine, hematological diseases and childhood infectious diseases.
– Formation of ethical and deontological professional business skills among students with a sick child and those caring for the child
