To develop students ' knowledge and skills in surgical care organization and prevention of the hospital-acquired infection spread, bandage material using, surgical patients care, surgical patient examination and registration of his results in a medical record of a hospital patient

1. Successful mastering of the disciplines "Human Anatomy", "Histology, Cytology and Embryology", "Physiology", "Pathomorphology", "Pathophysiology", "Propedeutics of Internal Medicine", "Pharmacology". 2. Ability to independent apply knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, pathomorphology, propedeutics of internal medicine, etc. disciplines for solving specific scientific and practical problems,' to work with scientific and methodological literature. 3. Skills in basic systems analysis.
Course content
"General surgery" is a required discipline, during the study of which students acquire basic theoretical knowledge on the surgical care organization, desmurgy, the sanitary-epidemic regime organization in a surgical clinic, bleeding and its stopping, transfusiology, anesthesiology and intensive care, various traumatological lesions, surgical infection, transplantology, oncology, surgical patient examination, patient care etc. The acquisition of theoretical material is accompanied by the acquisition of relevant integral, general and professional competences.The discipline program is structured into 2 sections. Section 1. Introduction to Surgery. Desmurgy. Basics of sanitary-epidemic regime in a surgical clinic. Immediate surgical conditions. Fundamentals of transfusion, anesthesiology and intensive care. Section 2. Surgical infection. Mortification. Fundamentals of transplantology and clinical oncology. Methods of surgical patients examination.
