Model objects and processes in living organisms and their components using mathematical methods and information technology. PR20. On the basis of in-depth knowledge of natural sciences to form an idea of the laws of individual and historical development of biological systems at different levels of organization, the role of systemic processes in their formation, functioning and plasticity, features of their cooperative interaction.
Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of courses "General Microbiology", "Metabolism of Microorganisms", "Antibiotics", "Physiology of Anaerobic Microorganisms", "Bioinformatics", "Biophysics". 2. Ability to independently apply knowledge from the above disciplines, to navigate in modern methods of molecular biology, bioinformatics. 3. Possession of skills in processing scientific literature, bioinformatics analysis and data analysis, work with materials and equipment used in the microbiological laboratory.
Course content
"Molecular microbiology" is a special discipline, the objects of study of which are populations of bacteria, and the processes that take place in it and their relationship with structure, architecture and topology of the genome. Its place in the system of other biological disciplines is most consistent with the concept of populations microorganisms as units for a wide range of biological research (biochemistry, molecular biology, molecular genetics).
