Prerequisites and co-requisites
The purpose of practice is to consolidate and deepen theoretical knowledge and practical skills of working with geodetic devices, acquired by students during their study of the course "Topography with the basics of geodesy"; acquisition of practical skills in performing a complex of field geodetic works during the development of surveying networks, in-camera mathematical processing of the results of field geodetic measurements, mastering the technique of topographic (tacheometric) surveying and drawing up the original topographic plan of the area on a scale of 1:500 - 1:1000.
Course content
Educational topographic practice, the first student practice according to the curriculum for the training of specialists of the first (bachelor) level of higher education, completes the study of the discipline "Topography with the basics of geodesy" in the 1st year and is a logical continuation of the educational process. Educational topographical practice is an integral part of the educational and professional training of students of the 1st year of the first (bachelor) level of higher education of the educational program "Geodesy and land management", field of knowledge 19 "Architecture and construction", specialty 193 "Geodesy and land management" is intended to consolidate theoretical knowledge and is aimed at mastering the methods of creating a geodetic basis for large-scale topographic surveying in conditions close to production. Educational practice should provide students with an idea of the organization, technological schemes of carrying out geodetic works in the area, technology and methods of their implementation. Practice is organized on the territory of the Boguslav educational and scientific permanent natural and hydroecological training ground. This is a basic structural division of the Faculty of Geography of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, which carries out educational and methodological activities in a number of related specialties, specializations and educational disciplines, for which the university provides licensed training of bachelors, specialists and masters and conducts scientific, scientific and research and scientific, technical and economic activities in the relevant areas and directions of basic higher education. The geographical faculty of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv can also be a practice base. The duration of the field educational geodetic practice of students of the 1st year is according to the plan 4 ECTS credits - 120 hours.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Carrying out educational topographical practice includes consolidating the learned theoretical provisions and practical skills acquired during the academic year, and gaining practical experience in carrying out geodetic works. The latter consists in performing a complex of topographical and geodetic works, which are carried out to obtain a topographical plan on a scale of 1:500 (1:1000) on a pure basis. The internship program provides for preparatory work, execution of angular and linear measurements when laying theodolite courses, alignment and calculation of planned coordinates of geodetic substantiation points, laying of technical leveling courses, alignment and calculation of heights of points of theodolite courses, tacheometric survey of the territory, drawing up a large-scale plan based on topographic survey materials .
Assessment methods and criteria
Students who have completed all the tasks according to the practice program, completed the practice report, appendices and topographical plan in accordance with the requirements are allowed to defend the report and credit on the last day of practice. The assessment is a summation of the work of each student during practice, determination of the level of knowledge and skills acquired by each student, and is carried out in the form of a group-individual defense of a report based on the results of practice by each student. Assessment of knowledge, skills and practical skills of students on the test is carried out on a 100-point scale, with subsequent conversion into a traditional assessment for recording in reporting documents
