Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. To know: theoretical foundations of the sociology of groups and communities.
2. To be able to: identify cross-cultural dimensions and challenges of modern society, social and psychological characteristics of cultural communities.
3. To possess: skills of theoretical analysis of primary sources, professional qualities and moral values.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to form students' basics of cross-cultural competence, specifics and features of cultural differences of individuals, groups, communities; as well as to acquaint students with the methodology and mechanisms of professional activity in the modern cross-cultural environment.
The discipline is designed to develop students' ability to develop and implement mechanisms of social and pedagogical work in a multicultural environment in social and pedagogical practice.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Assessment methods and criteria
1. Study of theoretical material: 20 points;
2. Practical activity: 30 points ;
3. Methodological programs: 30 points;
4. Module and final control work: 20 points.
5. Credit: 60 points (min. - 36 points).
Final assessment: credit.
It is obligatory to study theoretical material, develop methodological programs, practical recommendations, projects, training sessions, direct participation in practical activities, performing module and final control works, obtaining the results of the assessment in total, which must be at least 60 points. Students who have scored less than the critical and calculated minimum of 36 points are not allowed to take the credit.
