Course content
The aim of the course is to introduce the classical and modern psychometric theory - Item Response Theory. Students will learn the basic concepts and skills that will allow them to determine the psychometric properties of intelligence tests, build their own measuring instruments, determine their reliability and validity, calculate total scores and convert them to standardized scores, and conduct exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis on their own data using the R programming language.

Assessment methods and criteria
1. Oral answers (presentation at the seminar, participation in discussions and debates, additions): 25/40 points 2. Analytical report on the results of your own research: 25/40 points 3. Final test: 10/20 points 4. If the applicant participates in the All-Ukrainian competition "Social Data Analysis", speaks at the conference "Research Innovations", and prepares a scientific article in the Ukrainian Psychological Journal, he/she receives additional 60 points. The final assessment is conducted in the form of a credit. Students who have scored less than 60 points in total during the semester, but more than the critical-calculated minimum of 40 points, pass the test. The test is conducted in the form of a standardized test on the subject matter of the course, which is worth 20 points. Students who have gained a total of less than the critical-calculated minimum of 40 points during the semester are not allowed to take the test.
