Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) To know: the theoretical basis of social and rehabilitation support and the laws of Ukraine on social protection of victims of emergencies.
2) To be able to: work in a group, use time rationally, clearly distribute tasks in order to obtain maximum results; navigate search engines of global computer networks, choosing terms for formulating a query and search strategy; select information resources according to developed or specified criteria; critically analyze the information received, highlight the most important in it; correlate and systematize the knowledge and practical experience in the discipline.
3) To possess: skills of working with guidelines and scientific literature.
Course content
The main aspects of the state policy on social protection of victims of emergencies are revealed. Attention is paid to the analysis of trends in state policy on social protection in authoritarian and democratic societies, the principles of building social protection for victims of emergencies. The current state of the state policy of social protection in Ukraine is considered. The first content module deals with general aspects and examples of the formation and development of social protection of victims; the second module is devoted to the analysis and use of the recommendations of the UN Inter-Agency Standing Committee on the organization of a system of psychosocial assistance to victims of emergencies; the third module is devoted to the state policy and organization of the system of social protection of victims of emergencies in Ukraine.

Assessment methods and criteria
Creative tasks for independent work - up to 5 points for each
Preparation of reports and abstracts - up to 10 points for each
Module test - up to 15 points
Final assessment in the form of a test - up to 40 points
Based on the results of work during the semester, the student receives a final grade.
To obtain an overall positive grade in the discipline, the exam grade cannot be less than 24 points.
A student is not allowed to take the final exam if he or she scored less than 20 points during the semester.
