Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know: theoretical foundations of social sciences, basic concepts in social psychology, social work, sociology and psychology of deviant behavior, Be able to: analyze the content of key concepts of social work, summarize and correlate different conceptual approaches to the study of social phenomena, analyze the existing legal framework for social work and social welfare, apply theoretical models in practice. Possess: basic skills of public communication, activity planning, performance appraisal, elementary skills of research, methodological analysis and modeling.
Course content
The course «Resocialization, social rehabilitation and social correction» is aimed to provide knowledge on socialization disturbances and the models of social recovery, including: social and psychological meanings of socialization process; the role and functions of social institutes; determinants of negative and positive socialization; principles and values of social correction, rehabilitation and resocialization; methodology and main technologies of social correction, rehabilitation and resocialization; psychological characteristic of target groups. The course consists of three modules: (1) introduction: socialization, social influence and personal social development; (2) socio-psychological characteristic of target groups; (3) methodology and main principles of social correction, rehabilitation and resocialization.

Assessment methods and criteria
Evaluation of students is carried out during all types of classes activities and the results of independent work. During the classes are evaluated: oral answer, additions, presentations, practical tasks (40 points in total). The individual project is evaluated with 20 points. It is possible to get maximum 60 points for work during the semester. Final evaluation is conducted as an exam (test plus some additional assignments). It is possible to get maximum 40 points for the final exam. Knowledge and skills are assessed by 100-score scale. 0-59 points – F (Fail) 60-74 points– C (Satisfactory) 75-89 points – B (Good) 90-100 points – A (Excellent)
