2. To analyze, comment and summarize scientific and analytical texts of culturological format. 4. To know and understand theoretical approaches to definition of culture, its manifestations and forms of existence. 8. To interpret cultural sources (material, printed, visual, artistic) using special literature and certain methods, tо reasonably present conclusions regarding their content.

Before starting this course, students should know the main stages and characteristics of the historical and cultural process; basic general scientific theories and research methods; laws of logic and basic requirements for correct thinking; main works of classical Ukrainian and foreign literature; general ideas about the specifics of humanities and philosophy; Be able to collect and interpret information about certain phenomena, phenomena or processes; determine patterns and features of research subjects; perform analytical work; collect and interpret scientific information, processing the main literature on philosophy and humanities, set general goals and main tasks of cultural studies; Possess elementary skills of scientific research and information management; critical thinking and forecasting regarding historical, socio-political, economic, cultural and artistic events and phenomena; the use of foreign language professional cultural information sources
