Learning outcomes
Provide students with a clear idea of ​​the factors of the environment, the patterns of their positive and negative impact on the body for the development and implementation of preventive and recreational measures aimed at eliminating or reducing the impact of negative factors or widespread use of positive factors for the conservation and strengthening the health of the individual and contingents of the population. The main tasks of the study of the discipline "Hygiene and Ecology" are the establishment of the theoretical foundations of hygiene and ecology, as sciences (terminology, laws, methods, principles of hygienic codification, normative and methodical provision of the application of preventive measures), and the development of practical skills regarding methods for assessing the state of the environment.

Course content
The study of discipline allows to generalize the notion of environmental factors on the basis of their quantitative characteristics and patterns of influence on the human body, to form hygienic thinking - understanding the role of factors of the environment and social conditions of life in the occurrence of diseases, the ability to substantiate and implement preventive measures, to control their effectiveness, to predict sanitary situation taking into account the nearest and separated prospect of development of the country.
