The discipline is aimed at forming: knowledge and understanding of the subject area and understanding of professional activity; ability to learn and master modern knowledge and apply it in practical situations; ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources. skills of deployment and operation of various types of networks, in particular with the use of broadband protocols.

In order to better assimilate the educational material of the discipline, students should master the knowledge and skills of specialized courses on the theory of telecommunication systems and networks before it begins.

In the program of the discipline, the main attention is paid to the disclosure of issues related to the formation of knowledge about the current state of telecommunication systems and networks, obtaining specialized technical skills necessary for setting up, maintaining, telecommunication systems and networks; study of prospective information and communication systems and networks, as well as relevant broadband technologies and protocols.

Lectures, laboratory works, independent work

The level of achievement of all planned learning outcomes is determined by the results of laboratory work, practical tasks, tests and exams. The results of students educational activities are evaluated on a 100-point scale. Final control is conducted in the form of a written exam - 40 points. Namely: semester assessment - 36/60 points: Performance of practical tasks - 6/10 points. Performance of laboratory work - 22/36 points. Passing tests – 8/14 points. A student is not admitted to the exam if he scored less than 36 points during the semester.
