Course content
In the program of the discipline, the main attention is paid to the foundations of building the infrastructure of future networks, in particular, the issue of ensuring one of the most important characteristics in networks - network security. Students get acquainted with relevant technologies and protocols, their configuration and administration of network equipment (Cisco). The goal of the discipline is to build knowledge about the current state of the infrastructure of the future network, including a deep understanding of the principles of network security, as well as the tools and configurations necessary to ensure network security.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, laboratory works, independent work
Assessment methods and criteria
In the course, classes are held in the form of lectures and laboratory (practical) classes. They end with a credit. All types of work are carried out during the semester, including independent work and performance of individual tasks. Laboratory works are submitted within three weeks from the date of implementation. For work submitted late, 2 points will be deducted for each day of delay. A control test on independent work is held in the penultimate week. During the semester, after the completion of the relevant topics, modular control papers in test form. At the same time, to determine the level of achievement of learning outcomes, questions are formulated in the form of situational problems. For students who during the semester did not reach the minimum grade level (60% of the maximum possible number of points, i.e. 36 points), a final semester comprehensive test is conducted, the maximum grade cannot exceed 40% of the final grade (up to 40 points on a one-point scale).
