The purpose of the discipline is to ensure the formation of students' knowledge of the complex application of geophysical methods for various applied tasks, processing and analysis of geophysical data, to promote geophysics in everyday professional and social activities.
The program of the discipline focuses on applied geophysics, as well as the principles of construction of instruments and methods of measuring work. Approaches to solving direct and inverse problems are considered. The studied methods of qualitative and quantitative interpretation are explained by individual anomalies. Areas of application of geophysical methods on real examples are characterized. The review includes general principles of setting geophysical problems, an overview of ways to implement them and efficiency.

The control is carried out according to the modular rating system and includes: performance of independent and abstract works (where students must demonstrate the quality of acquired knowledge and solve problems using the methods and tools outlined by the teacher) and conducting 2 written modular tests. The final assessment is conducted in the form of a written test.
